  1. FD&C and D&C dyes and lakes, and some natural colors, are used for coloring Cosmetics, mostly for the purpose of enhancing one’s appearance or beautification. The products in this range include those products referred to as “make-up”, as well as lipsticks, fingernail polish, eye and facial products. These product forms are also lotions, suspensions, emulsions, gels or powders.

    Perfumes
    are formulated with fragrances, often complex and traditionally proprietary. Some of our Essential Oils may meet some of the more straightforward product requirements. As you can imagine the type of color system to be used must not only provide the exact and correct shade and intensity consistently, but it must meet the often complex formulation requirements and function as well as remain stable for the shelf life of any personal care or cosmetic product.

  2. The ingredient systems used in this range are primarily for coloration or fragrance. Personal Care products are those products which are applied to the human body for the purpose of cleansing or beautifying. These products are often colored with synthetic or natural colors, to improve their consumer appeal or to provide some level of product differentiation.

    FD&C colors, D&C colors and natural colors, in the form of water soluble dyes or insoluble lakes may be used safely in order to provide any shade desired, from subtle, light or pastel, to intensely colored for some specific effect or additional appeal. These products can be lotions, suspensions, creams, emulsions, gels, powders or simple solutions.
